The rhythm dissolves

He walked with her all around the moor
Where they had their first date
He showed her the same yellow lilies
Marking an advent of the spring

Leaning on the cedar fence
She told him stories redolent of her innocence
They sat together under the blue umbrella
Talking just about anything under the blonde sun

As the wind whispered in the grass
She murmured a long list of wishes
Some small, some larger than life
He laughed at a few and stood struck at others

She wanted him to take her to the Pacific
All the way only by train
And all through the way tell her a story
Spun in the pusuit of love and life

A story with the two fishes
She had bought several moons ago
One with the golden fins in her name
And the other spotless white in his

To build her a castle in clear white clouds
With doors of candy- sticks
All the bed-linen in his favorite blue
And jelly suace filling the window panes

A garden filled with rainbows in the morn
And countless fire-flies at the night
And a lake in the backyard with floating chairs
To sit and talk till eternity

She asked for a bottle full of golden rays
To make her a pair of Cinderella shoes
And a pint of beer made from white sky
To celebrate the smiling half moon

After a zillion wishes she stopped
Looked around for a minute
Stood impervious for another in the oblivion
Looked at him with tear filled eyes and smiled again

He stood there stupefied at the stance
Feeling as if the life has slipped silently
Crawled away some minutes ago
As it always has done since ages

The smiles were to last for some more months
And the cold breaths for soem more to come
How could he explain her in one lifetime
He had fallen in love with her each day

She smiled, she laughed and she wished,
But he could only look at her, dazed
Mesmerized by the beauty of the heart
Destined to go still after a few more moons

After which,
The world would never be like before
And he would have to walk
With her momories, only!
